Level and guidance assessment

Where does your child really stand? A clear answer, within days.

You wonder whether they are at the right level, on the right path, whether AI changes anything for them. The assessment measures their actual level through tests, we meet by video, and you receive a written report on where they stand and what matters now.

What you receive in writing

  1. 01
    Actual level

In mathematics, French, English and reasoning, measured by their tests.

  2. 02
    Strengths

What they can build on, including what their grades do not show.

  3. 03
    What is missing

The precise gaps, and the ones that really matter for what comes next.

  4. 04
    Should you worry?

A frank answer, without alarm or false reassurance.

  5. 05
    Priorities

The three things to do in the coming months, and the decisions ahead.

The assessment is for you if

You have a precise question, and their grades do not answer it.

  • You wonder whether they are truly at their class level, or above it.

  • A decision is coming: school, subjects, language, international section.

  • Their results are slipping, or do not match what you see of them.

  • You are moving country or system, and do not know where they stand.

  • You read a lot about AI and the future, and no longer know what to think for them.

  • You want a frank outside opinion before committing further.

The assessment answers one question: where do they stand, and what should be done now? It does not build their whole path. That is what the action plan is for.

How the assessment works

Tests, a video call, a report. About a week.

Request the assessment
  1. First

    A short questionnaire

Their schooling, their school, what concerns you. Ten minutes, so that tests and conversation are on target.

  2. Second

    Tests, at home

Mathematics, French, English and reasoning, suited to their age and curriculum. They take them alone, timed, without preparation. I mark and comment on them.

  3. Third

    Forty-five minutes by video

A few minutes with your child, to hear them reason. Then with you: the results, your questions, my answers.

  4. Finally

    Your written report

Their level subject by subject, strengths, gaps, and priorities for the coming months. It is yours.

And then

The assessment stands on its own.

Many families stop there, with a clear answer. If you want to go further, the action plan builds on the assessment and maps out the coming years: school, track, abilities to build, timeline. The assessment fee is then deducted.

An engineer by training, I have taught mathematics and physics for fourteen years, to students in France and around the world.

I guide international families through their children's education: choosing schools, subject and career choices, selective admissions. The assessment tests are the ones I use with them, aligned with curricula and school requirements.

Frequently asked questions

From what age?

From Year 4 (CE2) to the final year of secondary school. Tests are adapted to your child's class and curriculum, French, international or British.

Should they prepare for the tests?

No. The tests measure their actual level. Preparing would distort the answer you are looking for.

How long does it take?

About a week between your questionnaire answers and the written report, depending on when they take the tests.

How much does the assessment cost?

The fee is given in reply to your first message. If an action plan follows, it is deducted.

Who sees the results?

Only you. Nothing is shared with their school, and no family is ever named.

Tell me where things stand.

A few lines are enough: their age, class, school, what concerns you. I will reply personally.
